babyofthegroup told me I had to rewrite it again and I imploded. (If you don't hear from him again, it's because he told me to rewrite again and I somehow managed to teleport to the States on pure force of will. ;D )

Samwise: still not functional, though (some) progress has been made. Woe is me, my iPod has fallen ill. WOE!
I used the iPod Updater to restore it, and that seems to have worked as far as the iPod itself is concerned; no more exclamation mark folder, and it looks find as far as I can tell otherwise, except of course for the fact that it's empty. And that I can't re-upload my songs, becausemy computer (fucking elf!) won't recognise it, either in iTunes or as an external disk, and the Updater, which took ages to actually recognise the damned thing the first time, now just hangs on it as well. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both iTunes and the Updater, because when I ran Scandisk, it said there was something wrong with some files in a folder called iPod_controls, but I didn't have time to retry it this morning, so I don't know if that's worked or not, bu I have a bad feeling about it.
Anyone else have any ideas, short of sending my wee baby away to be fixed?

Oh, and I found out, thanks to the recaps that that Alliance Bloke I Vaguely Recognised in Bushwhacked is Matt Fielding, aka The Gay Bloke On Melrose Place. (Yes, I used to watch Melrose Place. Obsessively, even. Shaddup, I was young and didn't know better. SHADDUP!)

Best way to piss me off while trying to get me to help you: open a phone call by complaining about the 15-minute wait (I was at lunch, bitch, leave a message if you hate being on hold), then respond to my request for your contact details by reiterating your complained (for the fifth fucking time), and then ask if we're actually going to do anything with this complaint or if (as you clearly assume), we'll just file it away somewhere. Look, if you're going to assume the worst, why call at all? And why would you think I'm getting paid to sit here and not actually handle complaints? What goes on in the heads of people like this? Augh.
I'm assuming you've all heard the news about lj tags by now. I'm still kinda poking at them, trying to decide when to use tags and when to use the memory function, but it looks cool.

God, I've had more phone calls in the two hours I've been here than I had all day on Friday. Fuckers, all of them.
Note to self: Do some damn laundry tonight, dammit. I'm down to my "emergency knickers" (annoying white briefs, ew) and my last clean work-suitable shirt. And I want to try and clean tonight/tomorrow so I can spend the weekend waxing my legs and doing other primping-and-getting-ready-for-summer stuff. (Yes, I know it's supposed to rain for the next week or so. Hush. I need to do my legs anyway, and it's either this or shave now and then have to wait two weeks without shacing again so I can wax.) And of course I need to do my hair again, including bleaching the fringe, which should be interesting, as I'm going to try and mix only a quarter of the bottle/tube/thing so I don't waste most of the bleach and can maybe afford to redo it more often. We shall see.

Or, in proper English: I have finished the Hooker AU. It's off for beta now, after which I'll need to revise, and stuff, but it's done for now. Go me, finally. Though really, just under two months for what turned out to be a 12,000+ word story isn't bad, especially considering that this is the first fanfic story I've written in over a year, and the last ones were drabbles.
Now, to go to bed, or to wait for my beta to get online ...
ETA: After doing some googling, figured out that #26 is the issue that's out now, and I've already seen (all of?) the Bobby?Jean-Paulness in that one. Which I loved, but nothing new to get excited about, there. Bugger.
