Sleepless in Scotland

My internet is being patchy, so I spent most of the weekend watching TV. I now remember why I don’t usually watch much TV. Gah.

(I was also reminded of how much I want fashion to go on a Sixties retro kick so I can rock outfits like this . I have legs to show off here, and I bloody well can’t do it in what passes for a miniskirt these days!)

So, uh, yeah, still playing catch-up on blogs and friendslists, but I will get there! I promise!

The Bones Christmas ep is filled with sleepovers, people sharing showers and then lounging around in towels, as you do, and David Bononeaz's arms.

I really wish TiVos would come out over here already, because I would snap that up in a heartbeat. I really think I ought to be able to watch Law & Order: The Munch and Finn Show Stabler Goes Postal Yet Again Special Victim Unit without being told my job is a waste of money and I'm a chicken (some internet-only bank--FirstDirect?), that my girlparts smell and sticking Yeast Infection In A Quiet Wrapper So You Can Pretend You Don't Bleed From The Crotch Like Almost Every Other Woman up there is a splendid idea, oh and by the way, you should eat breakfast not because you're hungry or you want to or because it's fucking healthy for you, but, obviously, because it makes you thinner--but hey, everyone knows thin = healthy, right?

(Yes, I get twitchy about commercials a lot. Help me feel like less of a freak by sharing your own peeves re: commercials/advertising?)

So I'v not had any call stats at work since Friday, because I've disappeared off the system. I am the invisible woman, woohoo! :D

Airing date for Torchwood's been given, and it's … the weekend my gran'll be here. Dear BBC: your timing is made of suck.

So the other day, I was watching TV, minding my own business, and suddenly, in one commercial block, there's not only the Snakes on a Plane trailer, but also a new commercial for Pipex broadband with ... David Hasselhoff, King of the Internet. No, really. Go watch it, it's brilliant. :D

I just went on a commenting spree, and I think I got everything, though I skimmed a lot, especially from more than a day ago. If I missed something you think I should see, let me know.

Man, watching Numb3rs is kinda surreal after seeing Serenity. Charlie is totally Mr Universe in my head now, and I keep expecting Rob Morrow to turn into a lovebot. Stupid brain.

Aaaaaaand speaking of surreal, Tommy Lee is running some sort of X-Factor for Rockstars to find a singer for a band he's starting with some bloke I don't know and ... Jason Newsted? o_O
