Is something a waste of time simply because it didn't last forever?

No. Any experience that affects you is worthy of whatever time it existed.

's what I think, too. Especially about relationships and friendships. Apparently, not everyone does. :/

(Don't mind me, I'm in a funk. Must go home anc watch SDBs and get self out of said funk.)

I know. And I don't usually let the bad times overshadow the good memories, but sometimes it's hard ...

Absolutely not. Some of the things that have meant the most to me are things that didn't last forever.

I'm currently in a relationship with someone who is graduating in three weeks and moving to Boston to attend grad school. In all likelihood, the relationship will end then, but I don't really think the relationship is a waste of time because it really is a good experience for me. So no. Things that don't last forever are not wastes of time. They're learning experiences, growing experiences, and things that make us happy at the time. :)

I find it hard to remember that when a former friend seems to think that because a friendship ended (more or less badly), that means said friendship (including the good times) was a waste of time. :/

No.
But it sounds like you know this already and are just looking for affirmation.

Thanks. *hugcuddle* :)

And yeah, mostly. I'm just feeling kind of insecure right now.
