I am rather liking this Rome show. Mmmm. Episode one and I'm already seeing slash. Which ones of you were watching this again? I want to read other people's opinions of this.

Am pleasently buzzed from just one glass of wine. Well, maybe not even quite buzzed. A bit fuzzy, maybe. Mmmm.

Mememememe! Er. *coughs* Sorry, Rome totally ate my brain. Especially the all-too-obvious Vorenus/Pullo subtext and the Caesar/Brutus scene in one of the later episodes. I ramble on (and on and on) about it here: http://www.livejournal.com/users/sandrine/tag/rome

Oooh, ramblings, yay! The Corenus/Pullo subtext was ... well, I get the feeling it's going to start giving me nosebleeds later on in the season, let me put it that way. Though I kept having to browbeat my inner Latin geek with alcohol to stop her screeching about English speakers and their annoying habit of dropping the endings of Roman names. ("Octavianus! His name is Octavianus, you cocksucking cuntwhores!")

I'd agree and blast the English speaking world for doing so, but actually, the Germans do pretty much exactly the same thing. I'm more bothered by the show's portrayal for Caesar, to be honest.
