I am rather liking this Rome show. Mmmm. Episode one and I'm already seeing slash. Which ones of you were watching this again? I want to read other people's opinions of this.
Am pleasently buzzed from just one glass of wine. Well, maybe not even quite buzzed. A bit fuzzy, maybe. Mmmm.

Mememememe! Er. *coughs* Sorry, Rome totally ate my brain. Especially the all-too-obvious Vorenus/Pullo subtext and the Caesar/Brutus scene in one of the later episodes. I ramble on (and on and on) about it here: http://www.livejournal.com/users/sandrine/tag/rome

and um. It's currently stalled (LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE IN MY LIFE, THANK YOU SCHOOL) but it's an episode-specific story (7, I think?) in which Titus and Lucius almost have sex and then they don't, because WHY? I have no idea. Maybe something else will happen.

The book is called Rubicon by Tom Holland. Choice quote:
While Pompey lorded it over the east, the man he had replaced indulged himself with the most flamboyant sulk in history.
He also talks about Cicero "bitching" and "moping" and "cheerleading", which gave me the delightful image of Cicero in a short skirt and pom-poms, and gives all the good gossip of the time.
