Just a heads-up: I'm likely to be offline most of this weekend, for a number of reasons, but mostly because a) I have a bunch of offline stuff I need to get done, and b) I need to give my wrists a rest, because my RSI has been flaring up thanks to the stupid desk at work. (I finally managed to find a way to sit ar this desk without straining my wrists, but if I don't let them rest now, they won't heal, so.) Not that anyone would miss me, and depending on the state of my wrists, I might get on for a while anyway, but you know.
So I've been keeping myself entertained at work this week by reading the
stupidpetowners archives, and I feel the need to share this gem. I don't think you have to even vaguely know how to take care of pets in order to enjoy that one, because ... really, now.
Also amusing, for the Dr Who fans on my friendslist:

I totally forgot to mention that I saw The Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy with
elance last week, and loved it. As I said to E afterwards, if this movie doesn't spawn a whole lot of slash, I'll be sorely disappointed in fandom. So, um. Anyone have any recs for m? Ford/Arthur preferred, but any will do, because woa. They couldn't have made that movie more subtexty if they tried!
Also, I caught the tail end of an item on this on the morning news, and um. The hell? They'll take my chef's knife from me when they pry it from my cold, dead hands, dammit! I use that thing, and I use it a hell of a lot more than I do my bread knife or any the smaller, "potato peeler" knives.
