Happy birthday to ktnb!

I'm feeling a bit weird today, will probably be spending tonight napping and/or cleanin or ... something. Or maybe I'll just go on a reading binge; I suddenly found myself wanting to re-read old Metallica slash this morning, and metslash is blocked from here, so the craving has only grown. (And yes, this is an invitation for random recs. :D All fandoms welcome, pretty much, though I'm not known for my love of anime, so.)

I have no idea! Every time I try, I find myself at a loss how to explain what had happened - I mean, it wasn't all bad, was it? At the beginning, Tallific was a fun place to hang out. A bit odd and wanky, sure, but which fandom isn't; and they certainly had great fic. And then, it gradually turned into this huge... mess.

Well, keep in mind most of the people above you are people who've been on my flist since the very beginning, or close to, and i often have entire chatty convos of 50+ comments with them when I'm at work and IMless, so.

See, I'm sitting here all "Only another year!" Book five was way longer in the making, and I was in the fandom since just after book three came out. (Which, yes, means I remember HP fandom in the pre-Cassie Claire days. Am OLD!)

I was so depressed when Book Five came out, since it SUCKED THE BIG ONE. Book Six managed to make me not hate it, and even like it at times; I'm hoping Book Seven is at least decent.

I loved Book Five for the sheer "EAT IT!" moment when I turned out to have been right about Percy all along, heh. And I really liked Book Six, but then I've not yet re-read it still. Then again, I rarely reread the books, to be honest.

I can't think too much about Book Seven or I go into complete wibbly mode over Draco. (Hush, I have YEARS of fannish history invested in him!) Then I have to distract myself by musing on how cool it would be if Harry got killed in the Big Fight. Watch the fandom EXPLODE. Hee.

Harry had BETTER bite it in Book Seven, otherwise I'ma be pissed. What's the point of a Messiah figure if he doesn't die?

I predicted, from right after Book Four came out, that Percy was an easy, inknowing pawn for Voldie, and got stoned for it on a certain list. Book Five was my moment of gloating, man. :D

Yes! Plus, I can't see Harry having much of a life after he defeats Voldie. (See: Evitar, which contains a lot of my post-war theories.)

I also really hope we get some closure for Draco--I don't care which way he goes (well, I care, but not that much), but if this is the last we hear about him, I'll be fucking pissed.
