HP recc call

Recc me somethging. A story, or a fan artist, or a good essay, anything. I like slash, especially Harry/Draco, Marcus/Oliver, and all the oddball stuff. No Percy, please, I'm British Belgian. I'll take gen, and even ron/Hermione het, if it's good. I like manga style art, but "realistic" is very welcome too. any kind of essay is wanted, even pure Draco-bashing. :)

You have read Lust Over Pendle, haven't you? Really long, lovely Draco/Neville (no really, it works!) by A.J. Hall. It's at both Schnoogle and ff.net, I believe, but here's the direct
link, along with the cool vintage "cover" for the novel.

I saved this story to disk as well as printing it out in a binder - it's just that good.

It bills itself as a comedy of manners and mystery. Not only does it successfully straddle two genres, but it's also a plausible (!) Draco/Neville, and bloody funny to boot. It opens with some embarrassing photos, Narcissa Malfoy and Neville's grandmother. It ends with ... well, bathroom appliances, Dudley Dursley's girlfriend and general insanity. I cannot recommend it highly enough. (from Bright, Shiny Objects recs site)

Isn't it the best way to spend hours and hours? I really do love this story, and am glad you did too - wish AJ Hall would write another one (why yes, I'm greedy) soon.

Oh, god, is it ever! I was alternately awwing and giggling. I have to reread this to quote various lines, really.

And yes, I want more! I really would like to see a prequel, see how Neville and Draco fell in love and all. Sigh.

what a glorious idea -- yes, we need to know exactly how Draco & Neville met, more info on the War, and lots and lots more of the lovely loony details (like the rubber duck) and inspired OCs. please write and request same? I've already written gleeful feedback, and don't want to be a stalker.

I haven't checked out many of the recs on this page; but since I adored LOP so much, I'm hopeful I'll have fun when I do.
