It's not so bad... as in Highlander, there can be only one, and I guess this year it was Brazil. *growls* I will say that Ronaldo is a git, though. And it's really difficult to tell those three Brazil dudes apart - Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, and Rivaldo. And at least you in Europe actually get to -see- the World Cup. Our local station didn't bother broadcasting the final - it preferred to show televangelism. *snort* Let's see. A sporting event that comes once every four years, or Kenneth Copeland and his fundies? Yep, this is America. "Nothing but dust and fundamentalists," to borrow from Pterry and Gneil.
But next Cup - ah, next Cup - I'll be in Germany, pulling for my boys all the way. (And if Belgium doesn't play them, I'll be sure to root for Belgium. Say, didn't they win some sort of award?)
2006, baby! *waves flag* And I'll save a seat for my fellow footie slashers.
When exactly is Euro 2004? Finals may get in the way if it's another June event, but summer... yeah, I can do that. Planned on spending my summer in Europe anyway. :0)
*runs and checks Reuters* Ah! Here (http://www.reuters.com/news_article.jhtml?type=wcsoccernews&StoryID=1148716) you go. Congrats!

And um. We won something? I've been out of the country since Wednesday, and I have no TV, so I have no clue. Fill me in?
