I'm gonna be very, very bitter now. For, oh, I don't know. A year or four? *grumble*

Can't wait for the Euro 2004 qualification games to start in September.

*wailll* You just bwoke my heart. Would it help if I said I mostly only like Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos and um, if they were playing against any other team except for the Germans I wouldn't be supporting them? Plus...ronaldoissocute ~Sun

I'm with you, I am. Goddammit. Brazilian fuckers that don't deserve to be called a team won. Argh. Fucking performers. (Although I was somewhat surprised at the lack of performances this time.) It was a good match, though. Am satisfied. And although I don't appreciate Brazil winning, I'm happy on behalf of Germany because of the second place, but I so didn't want this Brazilian "team" to win. Gag.

Re:

Yes, yes, and YES! I'm liable to snarl at perfect strangers wearing Brazil shirts tomorrow. Seriously.

I'm just happy Ronaldo-the-Rabbit (some occasions just call for childish insults) didn't rob Kahn of the Golden Ball. Now that would have sucked beyond belief.

Re:

True, true. And hey, we (by which I mean Belgium) got the Fair Play award, so at least that's something. ^___^

Re:

::laughs:: And congratulations. Ha! Brazilian fuckers didn't stand a chance to win Fair Play. Oh, definitely not. Is there something like Most Disgusting Not-Team? I'm sure they would have made it.

Re:

Yes! there should be a rule about a maximum size of ego or something. Must be this humble to play.

*giggle* We're being so very petty and bitter, but I don't CARE!

Re:

Petty? Bitter??? Who, us? Never. I'm never bitter. Or petty. Or even ::gasp:: bitchy.

::adjusts halo::

And honestly, don't you wonder sometimes how Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and their egos manage to fit into one stadium?

From: [identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com

Re:

Ha! See, THAT's what happened--their egos just crushed the opponents!

Oh, the POSSIBILITIES!

It's not so bad... as in Highlander, there can be only one, and I guess this year it was Brazil. *growls* I will say that Ronaldo is a git, though. And it's really difficult to tell those three Brazil dudes apart - Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, and Rivaldo. And at least you in Europe actually get to -see- the World Cup. Our local station didn't bother broadcasting the final - it preferred to show televangelism. *snort* Let's see. A sporting event that comes once every four years, or Kenneth Copeland and his fundies? Yep, this is America. "Nothing but dust and fundamentalists," to borrow from Pterry and Gneil.

But next Cup - ah, next Cup - I'll be in Germany, pulling for my boys all the way. (And if Belgium doesn't play them, I'll be sure to root for Belgium. Say, didn't they win some sort of award?)

2006, baby! *waves flag* And I'll save a seat for my fellow footie slashers.

Wooo! Yeah, we need to get together for the next WC. Or even for Euro 2004.

And um. We won something? I've been out of the country since Wednesday, and I have no TV, so I have no clue. Fill me in?

Re: *huggles Melle*

When exactly is Euro 2004? Finals may get in the way if it's another June event, but summer... yeah, I can do that. Planned on spending my summer in Europe anyway. :0)

*runs and checks Reuters* Ah! Here (http://www.reuters.com/news_article.jhtml?type=wcsoccernews&StoryID=1148716) you go. Congrats!

Hm, not sure. It's likely to be in early summer again, I think. All I know is that apparently, qualifications start in September.

And wheee! Thanks. ^_^
