Kids, and why not wanting them means one is in denial of one's womanhood

Oh, god, I love you. I feel exactly the same way. I'm so tired of people telling me that I'll change when I get older because "You're a woman; all women want kids".

I DON'T.

Blerg on all of them.

:)

Re:

Blerg indeed. And the same goes for periods. I actually once read an article where a woman prefessor said that women who don't want their periods are in denial of their woman hood or don't want to be women.

I'm well aware of my female-ness, thanks, and I like it that way. I simply don't need to be reminded of that fact every month, especially in such a painful, bloody way.

Argh. People.

Right fucking on. I don't want kids, I have nothing against them, but it's all fun and games until it's time to change diapers, you know?

This point of view makes me a freak. Whatever to that.

Re:

See, I like kids, and I don't mind the daipers, it's the knowing I have to take vcare of them and be responsible for them for the next 20 years that puts me off.

Plus, the noise. I cannot handle loud, unmelodic noises.

Re:

I tend to like older children and teens the best. I''ve been kind of a mentor/friend to a lot of my teen girl cousins, and that suits me a lot more than being a full-time mother from birth onward.

That's another reason why I don't believe that motherhood is for me-I'm hung up on girls. If I was going to have one, I'd want a girl. I figure it can't be healthy to favor one sex so much, so that's a strike against me on the motherhood front.

Re:

Ah, yeah, I have the opposite. I'd much rather have boys than girls. (Because with boys I wouldn't have to worry about people claiming I'd turn then into lesbians by not forcing them to be girly-girls, for one thing.)

...and chiming in in agreement on the kids thing as well. My mom tells me this, even, and she's Ms. Hardcore Feminist who also didn't want kids, but ended up getting pregnant and deciding, what the hell, to have us. Like, don't assume I'll change my mind just because you did, okay? Sheesh.

I love curvy tummies, too.

Re:

Oh, yes, curves. I want a girl/woman who is womanly, dammit. If I wanted to screw someone with boyhips I'd save myself a lot of trouble and be straight. And on guys, it's just so cuddly! ^__^
