Wheee! Euro! Shiny new toy coins to play with! (Sae? Key? Mtre? Any Euro-zone person? I'm not the only one who thinks they look like toy coins, right?)
No, you're not, but I appear to be the only one who thinks they're nifty and rockin'. Sniff. I mean, finally we get colourful money (the likes of which I fell in love with the first time I went to the Netherlands) and then no-one likes it! Meh. *hugs Euro protectively*
Yay! At last I've found another Euro supporter. :-)
Believe it or not, but coming home to a new currency and actually getting my first euros on Tuesday was an emotional moment for me. ;-) I studied Accountancy a few years back and at times it seemed we had to learn about nothing but the euro. So it's great to finally have it in my pocket. Also, the small Euro countries now have a major currency instead of their pathetic national ones. Good riddance, Belgian Franc! :-)
