Dear Mr Beckham

Please cease and desist the looking like Larry Mullen. You're starting to freak me out.

Much love,

Melle

(Seriously, has anyone ever seen Becks and Larry in one place together,)

NExt time you go running, try and get something in your stomach first. Because ew, waves of nausea = not nice first thing in the morning.

(Of course, strenuous physical activity = not nice first thing in the morning, but I need to start running regularly, and if I don't go before I realise what I'm doing, I never will.)

Dear Self

Next time you decide to wear a skirt on a spur-of-the-moment at 7:30 in the morning, remember: coffee first, shaving later.

Sincerely,

You

Belgium plays Brazil this afternoon, and temperatures are expected to rise to a blistering 32°C. Just shoot me now, please?

Turkish grocer gets shot. Turkish people march in protest of the police's (supposed) lack of vigour in persuing the killer. Melle sighs and laments the sad state of humanity.

Heh. The Fast and the Furious comes to Belgium? Police have arrested about sixty people who were racing in the parking lot of a mall just outside Antwerp.

Life in Belgium is expected to get really slow between 13:30 and 15:30 (local time) as Belgium plays Brazil. Most workplaces allow TVs or radios to be brought in to watch/listen to the match. Lots of schools are suspending classes and letting students watch the game. Ministers are taking the train to work so their chauffeurs can watch the game.

This is why I love this country -- FOOTBALL FEVER! Whooo!

Not that I have any illusions re: our chances of beating Brazil, but you know, this has been a World Cup of surprises. France is out, Argentina's out, Italy's out, we got into the second round. Hell, even Michael Owen agrees that nothing is final and you never know, we might end up beating Brazil. And facing England in the quarter finals. In which case I shall end up thoroughly confusing everyone around me by cheering for both teams at once.

I know, I know, but. Dude, I want Belgium to win -- we've gotten to the semi-finals before, and if we'd even just get into the finals, I would be one happy Belgian. But on the other hand, if we kick England out of the Cup, I'll have to wait until September, when the Euro2004 qualifiers begin, to see more Becks/Owen, and argh! Not to mention, a whole bunch of people would hate me. (Linz, for one. Leena for another.)

Aaaand the US are 0-2 ahead against Mexico. Dude, next thing you know, they'll actually be playing the Quarter finals! What was I saying about a World Cup of surprises? O

(Please note that this does not in any way implies a promise to shut up about football in here. I have enough obsession to go around.)

Halftime score: 0-0 I don't think my nails are gonna survive this.

I think the Brazillians are being kinda sloppy. They've had quite a few opportunities, but screwed them all up.

Belgium's being sloppy as well, but OTOH, I think we scored, the Braillians would wake up and start really coming at us, so. Then again, we have a relly good defense (as demonstrated in the past 45 minutes), so who knows.

We actually scored in the 34th minute, but it got waved off for pushing the defender. Bastages.

Edit: Eee! Michel Preud'Homme! Whee! </things that no non-Belgian will understand>

Well. I won't have to choose between patriottism and slash after all. Sigh. 2-0, man. Ack!

Oh, and Mr Referee Who Waved Wilmots' Goal? I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE! (Well, no, I don't, but I'm almost motivated enough to find out. Bitch.)

Becks was watching the game, which gave me some happiness out of this whole thing. Mr Beckham, I'm counting on your team to avenge us!

Um, please?

- Er. No, brain, I did NOT that image. Or that little bit of dialogue.
- o_O?
- A random US team member and Becks. Showing each other that there're "no hard feelings." Except one.
(Tri, me; MSM)

- Yes, yes, I'm a closet European. Excuse me while I return to my place behind the winter coats.

Although I can't help but wonder sometimes, if, when I die, I'm going to be standing in front of God's throne, and he'll go "So, you found it amusing and cool that people on RareSlash wrote Me/Satan, eh?" and then I'll just start giggling, because apparently, God is Canadian.
(Me; MSM)

- Canonically, and this comes from a Lucasfilm mouthpiece: "there is no homosexuality in the SW universe."
- <boggles> I'm just speechless at that level of pompous idiocy. What is with this guy?
- Who has time for homosexuality, what with all the incest?

@#"é&§^ç!!!

Trains were late, which meant I spent an hour and a half in the blistering heat. I was soaked when I came home! Took a cold shower, which helped a lot, cleaned the rest of my living room, and am currently debating what to eat. I'm really hungry, but the thought of anything warm makes me melt. Steve's suposed to be here in five minutes, so maybe I'll just wait till he's here and go get something to eat. Salad sounds nice.

I should probably go do my hair and get dressed. And, if possibly, clean my kitchen.

I'd rather sit here and exchange comments with people about how we're going to kill the Brazillian players, kneecap the referee from today's game, and stuff.

Never mind, there he is.

Name: Bella del'Ortollio (Ew?)
Eye colour: Golden Jade (Not too far from my actual eye colour, to be honest.)
Signature scent: Passionate Night-Blossom (Um?)
Paranormal power: Levitation (Cool!)
Specialised skill: Linguistics Expert (Heh. Um. I am good at languages.)
Distinguishing mark: Esoteric Tattoo (Um.)
Newly revealed relationship to major character: Ray Vecchio's Evil Twin (Bwahahahahahaha! Well, I've gota be someone's evil twin!)

From here. Kind of uncanny.

I have my PhotoShop back! Le yay!
Wallpapers forthcoming, once I can convince my brain that Stand By Your Man is not a suitable song to use on either a BEcks/Owen or a Becks/Seaman wallpaper.
