Feeling much, much better than yesterday this morning. :)

Dude, can someone tell me who the guitarist (picture here) in *NSync's band is? Because I think I'm developing a crush, here.

Dude! (*moment of glee over the absolute widespreadness of the acronym RPS*) Ha! And they even mention Metallica slash! :D Although I've never read this particular story. Hm. *reads on* Sigh. Why, oh why must they always pic the pure smut examples? Why? It's not just about the sex, you fuckers!

Recs o' the Day, because I am a lemming: Fatone's by Shuyler -- It's wonderful. Because there are all these boys, and they're cooking! Cooking! Aaand my food kink rears its head. And Nick and Justin are dishwashers, which shouldn't be as hot as my brain is making it, and there's lambs cubed, and ChoeC, and Rats! And all these wonderful, wonderful people and eee! Go read!

"Ashley!" Justin called, pulling off his dirty apron. "Tell Lance we're taking a break." Ashley nodded as Justin hung his apron and followed Nick out the back door. "Oh lord." He arched his back and flexed his bare arms to release the tension; he'd been standing over a sink since opening. Nick passed him a cigarette. "You're a godsend."

"I'm a dishwasher." The cool night air raised goosebumps on Nick's damp arms. He took a deep breath and his white t-shirt pulled tight across his chest. Justin passed the cigarette back and Nick noticed how the light over the door colored the freckles on Justin's shoulder and how Justin's pretty pretty lips shaped as he blew out the smoke.

Nebraska by Jae -- Jae has a gift for tearing my heart out, picking it apart, and then putting the pices back together in a different order. That metaphor probably makes no sense to anyone but me, but that's what it's like. And in this particular series, she does it to the tune of Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska, which is only one of my favourite albums of all time.

"I'm going to hell," Chris said, slumping in his seat.

Justin's grin slid into something tighter, more knowing. "You been singing that song for years now, old man," he chuckled. "Maybe you ought to find a new one."

"I don't know what you're laughing about," Chris said. "Cause if I'm going to hell, you know you're gonna be right beside me."

Justin glanced over and caught Chris' eye. "You know it," he said softly. He smiled at Chris. "You know it."

... And now I feel the urge to copycat and do a similar thing with Dylan's Blood On The Tracks -- or maybe Blonde on Blone. Dammit!

Randomly, the Medleys mpgs are the cure for any bad mood. No matter how shitty my day is, watching those medleys, seeing Justin smile that brilliant, beautiful smile at Chris when they switch places during the Temptations medley, and they Chris wmiles back and he starts singing and it's all so gorgeous, and JC is singing Hey Jude and so very into it, and Joey during Twist and Shout and Lance is just so happy being up there and dancing and singing and I just love humanity at large.

Melle: *stares at Breckin in complete and utter horror*
Breckin: What?
Melle: I. Refuse. To slash. Larry. Flint!
Breckin: But think of the chemistry! Think of the meta-ness of it all!
Melle: Think something else. I'm not writing it, and that's final. Now get ouf of my office before I call Kevin to throw you out.
Breckin: *pout* Fine, then, be that way.
Melle: *rubs temples* I need aspirin.
Cause we want you back …

I maintain that Lance is never happier than when he has something against which to lean or lounge. He will find a way to do it in zero-g.

Also, survey gacked from [livejournal.com profile] wax_jism:

Writing rituals:
Best time::
Noonish through late night. I usually start writing during lunch break, then continue on the train home, and when I'm home, if I'm still inspired then.

Got a specific playlist?
Eh, not really. Though for Strange Love I tend to put on lot of Springsteen and Dylan.

Prose easier than dialogue?
No fuckin' way. Dialogue is the easy part. Fleshing out the actual story around it is harder. If I let my muses have their way, my stories would be nothing but page upon page of pointless dialogue. (See also: musiverse entries.

Enjoy writing sex scenes?
Meh. On occasion.

Most troublesome words:
Recently found out I use the word "snicker" a lot. "A lot." I have this with a whole bunch of phrases and words.

Do you use stickmen?
No, but I do plot out the details of every scene before I write them. Example from my notes for Kodachrome:

Scene 2 (Joey&Chris' apt; Joey's POV)
- Joey cooking
- General cuteness
- Du sex

Favourite character pov right now:
Depends on the fandom. I think Lance is my current all-fandom favourite, delightfully snarky bitch that he is.
