Collegues who buy brownies are Of The Good. (But slashy bosses and wollegues make my brain hurt. Grrr.)

- Jess-love, you wanna check this out.
- Conversation with my dad over the phone this week:
Dad: Do you have any plans for Sunday?
So, yeah, my dad wants me to wear my punk/goth clothes for pictures that'll be on display at home, handed out possibly, and handed in as assignments. I really like my dad, even though this means I'll have to clean my flat more or less touroughly (and get rid of the smell of smoke, eep) and will be fretting over what to wear all Saturday. (Suggestions?) Also, I'll have to re-dye my hair. Hm, maybe I'll go for actual black with blue or purple (or light purplish) bangs. (Again, suggestions?)
Me: Not really anything definite, no. Why?
Dad: I have to do some portraits (for his photography course -- ed) so I was thinking I'll take yours over there (in Antwerp.)
Me: Oh, sure, no problem. You'll have to cut my hair on Saturday, though.
Dad: Sure thing.
Me: So, do I need to dress up, dress down, in between? How about the jeans and shirt I was wearing when you came by last week. (That would be my Sexy Jeans and I Prefer Girls tank top. -- ed.)
Dad: I was thinking something more gothic. You know, like what you wear when go out. - Conversation with my brother, post-HP movie.
Me: Fuck, and my birthday's coming up as well. I have no idea what to ask.
My brother, ladies and gentlemen. Last year, be bought me a Metallica keychain. It's a cheap piece of junk, but it's my favourite present in a long time, because my then 12-yo brother knew that I'd like it and bought it for me. And now this. Completely spontaneously, he announces his plan to get people to buy me something I want. I love him so very much. He's the sweetest boy in the world ever at all. He deserves something special. I think I'll put together an InstaPunk package for him with Camden stuff. Just have to be careful not to piss off my mother. (But then again, it'll be Christmas, so she'll have to just smile and let me, ha!)
Sanne: I'm gonna tell them about that cape we saw two weeks ago that you liked, try to get them all to chip in. I'll help.
Me: *stunned* - My body is weird. It takes me three pints of Guinness to even feel woozy, but one drag of nicotine and I'm light-headed. Hmski.
- Every time I want to get off FCA-L, they start an interesting discussion. Grrrr. Although most of their opinions wrong-rub me in that subtle, itchy way, but i can't gather my thoughts enough to point out why they do. Double grr.
- There is NOOOOOO point six.
- I should update my site, shouldn't I? Sigh.
It's really weird when you see a story come through on a list one day and you read a bit and decide that no, sorry, this is not what you like, and the dialogue's all off and weird and ick, and then a few weeks later some of your favourite artists recc it warmly.
Yeah, i'm talking about Grown. Georgina and Dacey both liked it, but I went back and read it and even though I am much with the JuNi-love, especially right now, I still can't say I like it. And I can't pinpoint the problem, either. (Althought the "dollface" thig is certainly part of it, for some reason.)
Since a lot of people are saking for addies today:
