So, er, I'm thinking of writing Zombie Apocalypse Darkfic.
"Weren't you trying to finish that Wing!fic thing?"
I got distracted. Shut up.
"Okay, fine, I'll bite: Zombie Apocalypse what now?"
Holy crap, it's zombies! Hide under your desk (fucking joke) in the basement! Dr Insano's latest experiment goes horribly wrong, and zombies start swarming the earth. Some of the survivors try to make their way to Arizona after discovering a strange message on the interet. And somewhere, someone may even be working on a cure ...
"Wait, doesn't this (tiny!) fandom already have an apocalypse!fic?"
Well, yes, but this one has zombies, which makes it entirely different. Also, it's darkfic, which there isn't any of in the fandom yet, and which I love, and which I'm hoping to encourage others to write by writing some myself. (Look, I'm going through a rough patch here, and dark!fic (with a reasonably happy ending, preferably) is my comfort fic of choice, so shaddup.)
On the plus side, I already have a handful of scenes in my head for this, and the setup, and I'm sure it wouldn't take more than a bit of brainstorming to get most of the kinks (... hee!) worked out. On the minus side, I suspect this may turn epic. Crappity. And I foresee a fair bit of trouble trying to work out the Spoony/Linkara/Dr Insano thing. :/
I suppose I could take the easier, shorter route and write that crossdressing fic I had a vague bunny for, but that's really just a transparent excuse to put the Critic in a miniskirt, and I don't know if a "plot" that flimsy will give me enough time to actually work my way up to the porn. And sadly, I don't know that this is the right fandom for me to finally realise a lifelong (... okay, not quite that long) ambition and write or get someone to write a historical AU set in Ancient Rome to offset all the Regency/Medieval AUs.
Also, hey, on another note, would people be interested in a drabblethon/drabble exchange/anon kink meme for this fandom, or are we still too small for that? I mean, it could work as a recruiting tool, I suppose.

Honey, I'm so dang busy right now that I can barely find the time to get online to glance over my comments. It's a miracle I'm able to answer you guys at all these days, as WE OPEN NEXT TUESDAY OH DEAR GOD and then the week after that is MY BIRTHDAY OH DEAR GOD and then all of the sudden school will be up and running again.
So ... waiting for fic is the least of my worries. I eagerly await whatever you churn out, especially if it has to do with zombies, TGWTG, Firefly, or all of the above.
But but but *whine*? Oh, fine. I'll think about it. *sulks*
*puppy eyes* Pwease, Porthos?
Yeah, sadly. Woe! Oh well, I'm sure sooner or later I'll stumble upon a fandom where that works. (Actually, I think it might work in HP, it would just get drowned in a fandom of that size. Feh.)
... have you ever read 'The Dresden Files?'
We seem to have been doing that thus far ... but if you want to make things a little more organized, power to you! *is struggling to juggle sleep, theater, online time, and reading all at once* I LOVE being this busy and involved with theater, but I don't like how neglectful it makes me of my LJ. I MISS being able to troll for fic and work on fics of my own!

Oh, dear. You have my sympathies? :)
(And speaking of birthdays, please reassure me that you're nearer my age than to the babies that apparently make up the rest of this fandom? Because I'm starting to feel like a DIRTY
OLD WOMAN OMG despite the fact they're the same age I was when I got into fandom and I AM SO OLD oh god help me. D: )
*puppy eyes* Pwease, Porthos?
I said I'll think about it! *flail* I just need to be in a certain mood to write smutfic. Luckily, that mood tends to happen more often in summer, so you might be in luck.

You're not old, you silly goose! My great-grandma was 103-and-a-half when she died, and she certainly didn't act her age!
Yes, it's always awkward when you discover that the people you've been 'talking' to online are a lot younger than you thought. I'm always shocked when thirteen and fifteen year-olds post their birthdays on their profiles.
Don't feel old, feel mentor-like!

Ha ha! Usually I write epics in the winter or the summer, because in the fall I'm caught up in a rush of projects and school and parties and trips and new friends and old friends going insane, and in the spring there's the Shakespeare play. (We're doing Hamlet next spring. OH MY GOD I AM SO EXCITED! *flails*)

I'll ... try? Really, I don't usually really feel old -- I'm planning to be at least a century old, which should be doable since I come from a long-lived family -- but looking at someone's birthdate in their profiles and seeing a year in the Nineties still weirds me out, all "OMG they let TODDLERS online now?"
Then I remember time has in fact passed since I first got online and it's no longer 1995. Sigh.
