So on Thursday, mum and the boys and I went to Spa, where I mainly spent three hours in the sauna, rolling my eyes at the prudish people glaring at me for not wearing my towel for the walk to the shower, and also got on the electronic scales they had. I was expecting to see the same weight I've been for the last nine or so years, 70kg give or take a kilo or two depending on the time of month, maybe a little over that since I've not been getting a lot of excercise lately.

Unless the scales are off, I'm down to 64kg. Which would explain why I'm suddenly in need of a belt all the time, but it's a little worrying because it's been a year since I last actually got weighed, and I'm not sure if this was a gradual loss, or if it happened over the last few weeks, which would be worrying. Actually, it's kinda worrying anyway, because I'm not used to suddenly weighing less than I have since I was 16. I also can't figure out where the weight's gone from, because my tits and stomach and arse and tighs are still pretty much the same size as before.

I'm not sure I like my body changing on me like this without warning.

Yeah, I've only once before lost this kind of weight--stomach infection I ignored for well over a week, causing me to lose about 5kg in ten days, and that definitely showed in my face. My face does look a bit slimmer now, according to my mum, but it's slimmer, not sunken-eyes-gray-pallor like it was then, so I do think it was a gradual thing. Still kinda disturbing, though, because now my BMI is 21.4, which the site I found claims is not even near underweight, but I've always learned that "normal" BMI is 20-25, and taking my body type into account, I really don't think I ought to be losing much more weight. (And, frankly, really don't want to lose much more volume, because this whole oh-look-two-thirds-of-my-trousers-are-falling-off-now thing is getting old. Good thing I have wide hips, so at least they're not actually falling to my ankles completely. Huff.)
