Current row count on the shawl: 160. Have decided to just go on until I run out of scrap yarn, which at this point is another ... 30-40 rows, which should take me nicely to 200 rows. I hope. I kinda like this pattern, though it's obviously meant for a thinner yarn. I'm thinking I might make another one in the pretty blue/teal yarn. It won't use up all of it, obviously, but that'll make a nice present, and the thinner yarn should eliminate my current problem with squishing all the stitches onto the needles. (Plus, maybe by then I'll have that Needlemaster thing! :D)
i love how i've apparently managed to infect several people on my friendslist with the knitting bug. muahahaha!
My bookshelves get delivered tomorrow. I am ridiculously excited about this. Now all I need is something to hold my DVDs--or possibly I just need to do some weeding in my video collection. I think the latter is actually a better idea. All of this of course assumes I'll manage to got the shelves asembled and in their place on my own. Er. Help?
I think I'm going to slack off this afternoon. Bugger this work thing, feh.

If you're getting more than one of them, don't do what I did and set the one fixed shelf to a different height on each of them. It looks /really/ weird.

And actually getting them here will be something else again. Bastards. *seethes*

Actually, they're taller than me too - I tend to just 'walk' them to where-ever they need to go, rocking them back and forth until they're in the right place.
Although, with only the one fixed shelf in place, they're not that heavy - just awkward.
You should definitely kick them in the head.

I am so going to have a good bitch at them on Monday. This is just not on. I was ready to cut them some slack, what with the works going on down the road and the game being on at Tynecastle, but ... no. And I can't do any clearing out until the shelves are here because I need the boxes the books are in!

Now, if they fall over when they're full of books you're probably done for. But at least you'll have plenty to read while you die. ;o)
