Yes, exactly! 'Lower' in English, I always forget that. We use 'darker' in Swedish. :)

Ah. I've been curious about that for a long time, but never got around to asking.

Heh. My voice is actually even higher when I'm actually having a conversation--this is my "phone voice", deliberately lowered so I don't sound sixteen anymore. :D
