Meme! Yay!
Ask me my opinion on any character from any fandom, and I will give it to you. If I do not know the fandom, I will say what I think I know based on fannish osmosis.

I really dislike the fanon of the Malfoys as horrible, sexually and/or physically abusive parents. I can't see Lucius as an abusive dad. Mentally abusive, maybe, but not deliberately, I don't think. He strikes me as the kind of father who loves his son, and he's probably affectionate with the kid as well (or why would Draco be so desperate to save him, in HBP), but he also strikes me as the kind of father who knows what's best for his kid and just expects Draco to follow that plan. I think it quite possibly doesn't even occur to him that Draco might want something else, not seriously, anyway, and in a way that's damaging as well, but in the end, I do think he means well.
I'm not sure that he entirely believes in Voldemort, but I do think he believes hat Muggles are dangerous and Muggleborns should no be allowed to be part of the Wizarding world, because it's dangerous. So obviously, he's going to raise draco in that believe, and want for Draco to become someone big in the DE "movement", because power is good. </ramble>
