90's Alternative: High Influence
Classic Rock: High Influence
Progressive Rock: High Influence
80's Alternative: Medium Influence
80's Pop: Medium Influence
90's Pop: Medium Influence
Hair Bands: Medium Influence
Old School Hip Hop: Medium Influence
Punk: Medium Influence
80's R&B: Low Influence
90's Hip Hop: Low Influence
90's R&B: Low Influence
90's Rock: Low Influence
Adult Alternative: Low Influence
R&B: Low Influence

The top ones are fairly accurate, but further down the list it just gets silly, because I love R&B, but there weren't any good R&B bands on the ticky list. Then again, how accurate is any test that doesn't include, oh, I dunno, Dylan, or the Beatles, or indeed any artist pre-late-Sixties? I call foul! (Course, in order to accurately represent my musical tastes, the results would have to allow for a shared first place between "everything but House and Techno", so.)

I don't even know! I like how classic rock was a "low influence" despite its being the only thing besides classical music that I listened to growing up. Um, skewed much?

Re: my icon loves you!

That's because there's only like two "classic rock" artists on there. I mean, where are the Beatles? The Stones? The Who? The Doors? I'm not even mentioning the absence of Metallica in the Heavy Metal genre, or the complete and utter underrepresentation of punk rock, or the complete absence of any classic country and folk artists, or--ARGH!

THIS is what's wrong with kids today, dammit. NO sense of their musical history!

Damn hooligans! Why is 50 Cent even ON that list? WHAT HAS HE EVER DONE FOR ANYONE? The selection of artists is just bizarre.

Re: my icon loves you!

Seriously, yo. On a longer list, maybe I could see him as representing current hiphop, but I think Eminem and Dr Dre are sufficient for that, because 50 cents is still pretty new.

And I don't think I even want to know what P fucking Diddy is supposed to be representing.

Re: my icon loves you!

Apparently P. Diddy is 90s hip hop. Which I guess I can understand? But there's already Dre and Notorious BIG *and* LL Cool J (who is actually "old school hip hop"? and yet Biggie isn't. uh, okay.)

Stupid quiz makers.
