If you need to feel a bit better about people in general, you may want to have a look at this. As long as there's people like that in the world, I hink we're doing something right at least.

ETA 2 Also, I'm really fucking furious at Bush right now for already calling the election. It's 2000 all over again, and I can only hope that this time they'll actually properly investigate before they decide to give Bush a vicory which he may well have only gotten through fuck-ups. But I'm not counting on it, sadly.

Y'know, I'd suggest electronic voting, but that presents even more problems because there's no neutral agency overseeing the production and proper functioning of the voting machines. (I like the electronic voting in Belgium, but then, I know that's secure. Feh.)
