If you need to feel a bit better about people in general, you may want to have a look at this. As long as there's people like that in the world, I hink we're doing something right at least.

ETA: Adding more links, because as long as I'm collecting links, I'm not biting my nails or throttling my coworkers into a bloody pulp:

I'll keep adding to this as I find more interesting/funny links. Not all of them will necessarily be related to the election.

ETA 2 Also, I'm really fucking furious at Bush right now for already calling the election. It's 2000 all over again, and I can only hope that this time they'll actually properly investigate before they decide to give Bush a vicory which he may well have only gotten through fuck-ups. But I'm not counting on it, sadly.

I saw that. I love that.

Makes me feel like maybe the world's not quite as fucked up as I usually think it is.

*nod* Sometimes I feel like curling up in a corner and hiding from the people who wish death or worse on me and my friends, and then someone like that comes along and gives me some hope again.

My personal view is that rather than hiding, you could go and hunt them down and stab them in the eye.

Yes, it'll make them hate you - but they hate you already, and now they're probably dead, so less likely to vote for you to be rounded up and barcoded.

*snarf* unfortunately, I'm not a violent person, and stupidly attached to that whole free speech thing even if that free speech is telling me I'm less that shit. :/

Which is not to say that I won't snap like fuck at my collegue if he makes one. single. more. obnoxious remark or "joke" about my sexuality, immigrants, or even my vegetarianism.

I hate people. When I'm rich and famous I'm buying myself an island, declaring independence, and making it into a safe haven for all my friends and family.

We're not all idiots, Mellie. *hugs* As long as we remember that, we'll be okay, I think.

*nods* That's part of what makes it so painful sometimes, knowing that so many of my friends live in a country where so many people see them as less than human. And now I'm just depressing myself further.

Oh, terrific, let's give me even more things to distract me from work, why don't you. :p

Bwah! Hey, what I've heard about the man, he does rock all kinds of hard. :D

(Argh am about to log into phones again just to not have to deal with coworkers anymore. Shut up shut up shut up I don't want to deal with this!)

Gah! Thanks, I'm gonna add that.

Y'know, I'd suggest electronic voting, but that presents even more problems because there's no neutral agency overseeing the production and proper functioning of the voting machines. (I like the electronic voting in Belgium, but then, I know that's secure. Feh.)
