Have just watched M&C:TFSOTW. Have sent [livejournal.com profile] amatia plea for help re: same. Damn you, Russel Crowe!

In other news, a month or so ago, [livejournal.com profile] ladyjaida did this challenge thingie wherein she enticed people to write a story in their first fandoms, and I can't stop occasionally worrying at the idea. Long time readers will be rolling their eyes now, as I've been doing the dance of "I want to write something decent for Space: Above and Beyond for several years now, and sigh. There's no real point to this paragraph. Just ignore me.

Aw; don't suppose I could convince you to watch it again?

Well, I'm not too worried. I can't remember having seen "Space: Above and Beyond" ever.

Now if you could muster something in the likes of "The A-Team", "Nightrider", "Airwolf", or going back even further: "Battlestar Galactica", "Chips" or "The Secret Valley", I might still be amused. (That last one seems to have been erased from history since it allegedly encouraged kids to join gangs).

For the first three, I could probably come up with something, for the last, I'd have to think/research hard to even come up with the names of the main characters.

I guess "Star Trek" and "Dallas" are forever ?

Oh yeah, I actually had to ignore you and head off to work. Doh !

No one ever does. Sigh.

One, two, and last but not least, three.

"Nightrider"

I'm assuming you mean Knight Rider?

"Airwolf"

Oh, there is some, here and there.

"Battlestar Galactica"

All this and more!

"Chips"

dammit, I know I've seen slash for this, but it seems to've disappeared off the web. :(

"The Secret Valley"

Whut?

I guess "Star Trek" and "Dallas" are forever ?

Hm. There's Star Trek slash all over the Net, but I can't say I know of any Dallas slash. (NOR DO I WANT TO GOO LOOKING THANK YOU!)

Re: In which I put on my dust-gathering RSA Archivist Hat ...

I could see you've googled or something. I guess I could have too. Some of those links are dead but there is still a lot to read. Now I just need time ;-)

Dallas slash is as good as George W. Bush slash if you ask me, same setting, big companies, oil, ranches, politics, ...

Well, I'm not even sure about that "The Secret Valley" title, but they used to have the Australian anthem as the title song. With different lyrics.

Secret Valley, 1980 TV Series. A series about the children who run a holiday camp in Bildarra called 'Secret Valley' and the problems they have with a gang led by Spider McGlurk and the man who is determined to close their camp down Councillor Claude Cribbin. IMDB: http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0220267

This was the first series ever I was hooked on. I couldn't read time schedules yet around that time, but I watched it every time it used to come around (and my parents always wanted me to go to sleep before that was over, I must have been 7 or so)

I still remember an episode where they had a huge war thing going on with the Spider gang and they had made catapults which they filled with the contents of their trash cans. If conservationists could see this today, they'd turn around in their graves (I know it doesn't make sense ;-)

At least I have confirmation now that this show really existed and wasn't a childhood fantasy after all. (I'm sure they stopped broadcasting it after I turned 9, so it's like 20 years ago since I've seen it...)

Great, now one of my best friends [livejournal.com profile] sherina has joined fanfiction.net too, get prepared for more HP Slash ;-)

I should go read her part some day, but not at this ungodly hour.
