So, Birthday loot:

• Urban Decay make-up, including "lip ink", which is fabulous for people like me who usually have to reapply lipstick every five seconds, a LotR calendar, and a "LotR companion" mini-book, from my coworkers;
• Sid Vicious action figure (!!!!!) and Spongebob Squarepants lip gloss from amatia;
• Books from rsadelle;
• Veggie cook books, a fab "hand"bag (a lot larger than it looks, which is awesome) and a full collection of Euro coins from my parents.

Also, one of my coworkers bought mini Christmas presents for us all, and mine was a small set of Tarot cards. Cool! I've not done Tarot in years, and I've never worked with the minor Arcane, but I've nicked my books back from my parents, and I'm so starting again.

Harry Potter

One True Pairing 'Ship: Harry/Draco are really one of the few pairings that truly speak to my OTP side. They are, in a lot of ways, the embodiment of everything I look for in my pairing of choice. Make of that what you will.
Canon 'Ship: Does Ron/Hermione count?
"If this happens I'll stab my eyes out with a spork" 'Ship: (All together now ...) Harry/Hermione! Sperm of the Devil!
"You are one sick bastard" 'Ship: Harry/Firenze. Hi, ruby_fruit!
"I dabble a little" 'Ship: Hm. Right now, Draco/Hermione. Interesting pairing to write because it's similar yet very different from Harry/Draco.
"It's like a car crash" 'Ship: Marcus/Lee, in a way, I suppose. In that I know it makes no sense to anyone but me, but I can't stop returning to it. And making others write it for me.
"Tickles my fancy but not sold quite yet" 'Ship: Ginny/Tonks.
"Makes no canon sense but why the hell not" 'Ship: Marcus/Lee as well.
"Everyone else loves it but I just don't feel it" 'Ship: Draco/Harry, the way the vast majority of the fandom writes it.
"When all is said and done" 'Ship: Ron/Hermione. Also, Draco/Harry.

Lord of the Rings

One True Pairing 'Ship: Legolas/Gimli. The once and future pairing, man.
Canon 'Ship: ... Legolas/Gimli? And actually, Sam/Rosie. I also used to be, Before Slash, an Aragorn/&Eowyn; "shipper".
"If this happens I'll stab my eyes out with a spork" 'Ship: I don't know if I have any for this fandom. Possibly Boromir/Legolas.
"You are one sick bastard" 'Ship: Faramir/Pippin. Also, Merry/Éowyn.
"I dabble a little" 'Ship: Merry/Pippin. Love it in the source, but haven't really read a lot of it.
"It's like a car crash" 'Ship: Heh. If I'm honest, Gríma/Éowyn.
"Tickles my fancy but not sold quite yet" 'Ship:
"Makes no canon sense but why the hell not" 'Ship: Gríma/Éowyn Éowyn/Faramir and Arwen/Aragorn never made sense to me in the books, but if we're talking non-canon pairings, Aragorn/Legolas.
"Everyone else loves it but I just don't feel it" 'Ship: Aragorn/Legolas, as well. Actually, I kind of see it too, in the movies, but it just doesn't seem to click in my head. I can't see them like that.

One True Pairing 'Ship: I don't really gte very OTP-y outside of HP and LotR, but I guess Timbertrick comes the closest.
Canon 'Ship: None, really. OUtside of HP and LotR, I also don't really go for canon 'ships.
"If this happens I'll stab my eyes out with a spork" 'Ship: Buffy/Angel. And yes, I'm quite aware of the fact that they are canon. I still want to stab my eyes out with a spork.

"It's like a car crash" 'Ship: Spike/Xander. So much with the horrid, and yet I keep returning to it whenever I have a particularily bad day.
"Tickles my fancy but not sold quite yet" 'Ship: Almost all of the lotrips pairings.
"Makes no canon sense but why the hell not" 'Ship: Justin/Nick. Heh.
"Everyone else loves it but I just don't feel it" 'Ship:Mulder/Krycek. I don't appear to have any X-Files love, oddly. Actually, to some extent, this goes for almost all mainstream fandoms.
"When all is said and done" 'Ship: Coop/Nathan. Old OTPs don't die, man.
