See, I (can) see Lucius as "abusive", but in a subtle way. Not physical, or even really emotional, but I think he's the kind of father who wants his son to be the best, and doesn't always consider what his son wants. I think in a way, Draco, for Lucius, is somewhat of a status symbol, sometimes.
