Random stuff in bullet point shape:

  • Saw Eragon yesterday. Verdict: crap, but slashy, pretty-looking crap. I kinda wanna read the books now, but mostly I wanna read slash. *pokes the internet
  • Yuletide is yielding lots of goodies this year, including Asimov slash in a pairing I've been wanting for years, and wheeee!
  • Yuletide also, as usual, is making me want to write slashy non-fanfic fantasy. I dunno how that works, either, but I have images in my head of underwater cities, and cities high in the mountains, and yes.
  • I had more bulletpoints, but they've escaped me. Maybe I should go to bed.

[livejournal.com profile] mac_hearts_pc. I love the internet. Love! (What? It's the antagonist pairing to end all antagonist pairings, of course I'm going to like it!)

Finn: [long speech about gay black men having sex "on the downlow"]
Everyone else: *stare*
Finn: "Don't look at me, I just know stuff."

I love this show. :D *goes to see if any good Finn/Much slash materialised since the last time I looked*

[ETA] Dammit, self, the whole point of this cleaning thing is to throw things you're no longer using out! You're not using all this paper and stationary, and you are getting rid of at least half of it! [/ETA]

I am rather liking this Rome show. Mmmm. Episode one and I'm already seeing slash. Which ones of you were watching this again? I want to read other people's opinions of this.

Am pleasently buzzed from just one glass of wine. Well, maybe not even quite buzzed. A bit fuzzy, maybe. Mmmm.

Ack! My grandmother has decided to take an interest in the internet, by which I mean she'll occasionally ask to see what I'm doing online. And of course, she's somehow developed the uncanny ability to ask this when I'm right in the middle of a really hot, mildly kinky gay porn story.

So, erm, to help me recover from the multiple heart attacks I've survived today, anyone want to rec me some House slash? I'm partial to both House/Wilson and House/Chase, but I'll read anything that's good.

Huh. I just finally heard back about a whole bunch of open complaints. Well, miracles will happen, it seems. Even if they do take several months to do so.

Three more panels including the one I'm on (and now halfway through, yay), and the scarf will be done. Ish. It'll be as long as mine, then, but depending on how much yarn (and time--it needs to get to Belgium before my brother's birthday) I've left, I may add another couple. After all, the bratling's a whole lot taller than I am, heh.

Aaaand the blokes in the next aisle over are ... gossiping about celebrities. ("Chris Evans, shut the fuck up.") It's like [livejournal.com profile] ohnotheydidnt: Live And Uncut! Heee. Oh, wait, here we go, now they're talking about hurrican Rita. ("And Bush is all "This one, we're ready for!"" "It's like he got the CIA to orchestrate it or something." Hee.)

OMG now they're discussing Lost! And um, being very gleeful about this minorish spoiler )

, and this one bloke seems very appreciative of Sayid, and there is massive Hurleylove, and I want to keep them in my pocket OMG! <3!

So on Saturday, in the course of half an hour, I managed to hit first one hand and then the other into a doorknob. (The same doorknob both times, too, just to add insult to injury.) And then yesterday, I managed to pull down the curtain rod on my shoulder. Ow.

Spent most of the weekend reading Lost slash and wishing Jack into the cornfield. At this point, I'll read any pairing as long as it doesn't involve him. Gah.

Look! It lives!

Sort of, but anyway. This is just a little stream-of-conciousness thingie to tell you what I've been doing and what I'll be doing within the foreseeable future.

Firstly, I'm listening to live mp3's from my various muses and can I just note that Tico Torres [Bon Jovi drummer] has the sexiest of voices? Sheesh. Also, RobbieMuse, I love you, but shut up.

Secondly, I'm rearranging my site and redisigning in the process. The new layout may contain - oh horrors of horrors - frames. Eep. And I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my various journals. I may end up putting the profundity in /sleepless and this one for random notes, blogging and what's-going-on-in-my-life stuff, and then another livejournal for my dream journal.

Got all four Harry Potter books for New Year. Yay! And I started reading the fourth book yesterday, telling myself twould only be one chapter, and then one chapter became five and then five became ten and suddenly I find myself staring at the end of the book at 3AM and having to just sit there for a minute or ten to compose myself again.

It's been years since any book did that to me. It's a great feeling. But now I'm having evil mushy Draco/Harry ideas, as well as problems with The Game, because [spoiler alert - highlight to read] the whole idea of an inter-school quidditch contest seems rather trivial now that Voldemort's back. Then again, this might be the sort of thing Fudge would to 'to keep up morale' or to show that really, there's no need to worry.

And on a completely different note, some quotes:

Damn computer is mooing.
(Amatia; IRC)

We're budget therapists.
(Ruth; IRC)

I blew off work today. That didn't sound right, did it.

Final note: Amistad rocks. And the guy who plays Cinque is just plain lickable.
