You know the drill. For Elfie. Not what I promised, but Marcus insisted on wibbling to me about this.

personal

Marcus is bent over maps and charts, trying to find a way to get closer to the Death Eater stronghold, when Dean comes in. "News on Lee Jordan."

He looks up. "Where?"

"Bole," Dean says, and that's all he needs to say.

He tells himself it's because Jordan is one of the few people with field experience he has around, and he can't send rookies out against Bole. He tells himself he's just doing his job. He tells himself he'd do this for anyone else.

And he would, but slitting Bole's throat, he knows this at least is very personal.

gawd, theirloveissofreakishlyprotective! *snuggles you*

of course, that's just the point, though, isn't it? that it isn't freakishly protective of marcus to do that, 'cause he and lee are, were, something. But they--what are they now? I like that we don't really know. and i like that marcus is getting revenge for his lee! *KISS*

Re:

Yesyesyes! Because Marcus is kind of posessive, not in the way that he'd get jealous, but in the way that nobody messes with his things, and Bole should've KNOWN that!

And he WOULD have done it for anyone else, really, because Marcus might've cheated at Quidditch, but that's a far cry from being a Death Eater, or from leaving someone to be raped and murdered by Bole, who had a reputation for cruelty even at Hogwarts, even amongts the Slytherins. And this isn't some anonymous rookie, this is a bloke Marcus KNOWS, and yes.

I'm babbling again.
