Three related Harry/Draco drabbles, owing a debt to Mr Storyteller by the ever-admired Silvia, as werll as to Karen, because I saw her icon at six in the morning and at six in the morning, phrases get hooked in my brain.

take one

Draco Malfoy hates Harry Potter, and that will never change.

He spends seven years hating him, taunting him, waiting for the day Potter will go up against the Dark Lord and die. He spends his days plotting and his nights dreaming of the Boy Who Lived, on his knees, begging for his life.

Time passes slowly, and when the day finally comes, Draco is the one on his knees, but he does not beg. Seven years to the day after their first meeting, Harry Potter kills Draco Malfoy, before the Dark Lord kills him.

Some things are meant to be.

take two

Draco Malfoy is in love with Harry Potter, and that will never change.

He spends six years hating and one year fucking him, waiting for the day Potter will go up against the Dark Lord and die. He spends his days plotting and his nights with the Boy Who Lived, on his knees, begging for more.

Time passes, and when the day finally comes, Draco is the one on his knees, begging. Seven years to the day after their first meeting, Draco Malfoy watches Voldemort kill first Harry Potter, and then Draco himself.

Some things aren't meant to be.

take three

Draco Malfoy loves Harry Potter, and that will never change.

He spends six years hating him for it, and one year falling in love, dreading the day Harry will go up against Voldemort and die. He spends his days hoping and his nights in nightmares of the Boy Who Lived, on his knees, begging for his life.

Time passes quickly, and when the day comes, Draco is not the one on his knees, and he does not beg. Seven years to the day after their first meeting, Draco Malfoy watches Harry Potter kill Voldemort.

Some things are meant to be.

Re:

They doooo! They so do! And not only that, but the defeat of Voldemort depends on them getting a happy ending! *nods seriously*

*sniff* The harder it is to believe in a realistic happy ending, the more I seem to want one. I love Draco(I also useally want to smack the shit out of him)[actually, that goes for Harry as well].

Oh, I KNOOOOW! Whenever I read the books, or genfic, or unhappy ending slash, I keep stomping my foot and smacking the boys for not seeing that they're MFEO DAMMIT!

*draws little woobie hearts around story*

I love the way Draco progressively loves Harry more and more. Very, very wonderful.

eeee. by now i'm sure you realize that i adore the idea of possibilities, and this... i especially love the way that they all follow the same format, but tell different stories.

Eee! Thanks. ^_^ And yep, that was the basic idea. Because I'm an incurable romantic and I believe that yes, dammit, love can change the course of history.
