Random pimp.

Note to self: Starting tomorrow, and with the stories on your recs page, emulate Silvia and start feedbacking everything you read. No, I mean it. At least everything you read and like, for starters.

Have random urge to write story in Latin. Or at least play around with Latin. Pity that the 5,000+ hours I spent in Latin class don't seem to've actually left any traces on my brain.

Feeling slightly less likely to kick random people on the street.

Still utterly random, though.

*emulates Silvia*</i< Let's see how long this lasts, then ... (Also. Is it considered proper to mention in a feedback that you recc'ed people on your site, or is that too tacky?)

I think it's very proper. A few people have postulated that it's rude NOT to tell people when you've recc'd them on your site...

Cool. :) Of course, my email choses today to go down, and not in the good way, either. Grn. So instead of feedbacking cool people, I'm stuck here with only my brain and for company, and I'm coming up with the most bizarre (post-)war!bunnies and argh!

I did that once. Write a story in Latin, I mean. It's amazing how dirty one can get using only the glossary of a Latin I book.

Dude, don't ENCOURAGE me! I'm already pondering the pros and cons, and argh. NO ONE WOULD BE ABLE TO READ IT!

Not to mentoin, Latin skillz? What Latin skillz?

From: [identity profile] pelicanzed.livejournal.com

No, I could read it, up to a point.

Stories in Latin are fun. I wrote an insane one when I was eleven, improvising the words I didn't know. ("Caecilius throwus upus. Grumio exit." was a line.) As far as not being able to remember any Latin, I know the feeling. But buy an Latin / English dictionary? I think it comes back once you get started.

Re:

See, what attracts me to Latin is the fact that you've so much more freedom to toy with word placement and rhytm and style figures and stuff, but I honestly barely remember my Latin, and now I'm thinking I should refresh it. Um.
