"Death Eaters Drycleaning, Inc., may I help you?"

Hm. So I started this drabble/snippet, which I thought was going to turn into vague a Harry/Draco type thing, about Draco betraying the Death Eaters and Harry thinking he could make Draco a good person, or whatever, and instead it turned into ... this. Hrm.

Draco used to want to be a Death Eater. He also used to be fourteen.

It used to seem glamorous to him, being among the elite, striking fear in everyone’s heart. There's really nothing glamorous about getting your robes splattered in blood and innards -- sometimes he thinks of starting a dry-cleaning service for Death Eaters; he'd make a fortune -- or about grovelling to Voldemort. For someone who’s supposed to be all-powerful, Draco thinks, You-Know-Who certainly needs a lot of ego-stroking.

He often wishes he'd gone to work at the Ministry. The pay sucks, but at least the hours are better.
