Stolen from various people.

1. Twenty stories, one writer, writing at their peak. You choose the fandom(s), but it has to last you a year. Only one writer. No, seriously. Gun to your head. Only one writer. No exceptions. Only one writer.

Silvia, who would have to write:

  • One Marcus/Oliver, Harry/Draco epic;
  • Five H/D or M/O storieses, combine at will;
  • One Cooper Hawkes/Nathan West epic;
  • One Lee/George story;
  • Five Spike/Xander stories;
  • Three James/Jason (Metallica) stories ;
  • Three Sex Pistols stories, any pairing;
  • One U2 story, any pairing.
2. God is merciful. You can choose five stories each from four writers, but only after you've chosen twenty stories from one writer.

Oh, lord. Jen Riddler, Shalott, Jae, and Wax .

3. God is kind. You can choose five pro authors, living or dead, to write one story each in the fandom(s) of your choice.

Okay, sad thing? I thought about this for so fucking long and I can still only come up with four pro authors I actually still like to read. Sigh.

  • Stephen King -- Something in Harry Potter fandom. I think something in the style of the Dark Tower series would fit this fandom so well, for some reason. Or prehaps something in the style of The Body.
  • Poppy Z Brite -- Sex Pistols. Yes. Mrrrr.
  • Douglas Adams -- Popslash. He could do Chris so much justice.
  • Tabitha Lee -- Spike/Xander. God, she'd be brilliant.

Um. I once wrote Spike/Xander at the very end of Season 4. It was AWFUL. Just terrible. but then, it was, like, my 3rd fic ever. and I was just starting out in fandom.

ohgodcan'tbelievei'mgoingtoshowyouthis.

the end of it...

"With all of this hey-I'm-a-evil-government-agency-that-finally-self-destructed action going down, I bet they'll be a lot of soldiers sneaking around pretty soon," I said, and I paused, and I said, "Coming?"

And there it was. No surprise. No trust. Just an offer on the table based on nothing nearing logic, nothing nearing common sense, nothing really left for it to be but love.

He followed me back to my parent's house silently, back to the cramped basement that had become our home despite his taunts, despite his crypt, despite his threats, despite Adam. Echos of his presence still rippled through the air and that laugh that never left, would never leave. It would be ours when he was gone, when he has my blood.

And he will, you know; it's inevitable.

Dogs will chase cats, bees will flock to flowers, when one slayer dies the next will be called, and vampires need --

His teeth rake across my neck and I shiver, a ghost slipping past my grave. But then his hands are snaking under my shirt, his hips are griding roughly, hot ice at the back of my neck, and once again I can't bring myself to care. That final step has brought me here into his arms, and who needs surprise when you can have firm hands directing your mouth.

And death coming to you in a package as beautiful as this one.

Re:

Oooh, see, I knew you were a Spike/Xander girl, but I didn't know you wrote any! More! more! Please? Cause I know I'm never gonna get any of the other fandoms out of you.

From: [identity profile] silviakundera.livejournal.com

My thing is... I'm SO out of that fandom. siiigh. I wrote a Xander/Buffy story about 5 months ago, which is still one of my favorite things I've ever written, but other than that it's been 2 years since I touched the fandom. And, well, honestly? I think Xander/Spike is next to impossible to get right. for anyone. And I cannot write Spike's accent. at all. It's that whole "I'm an American thing".

and look at how it turned out before? ahahahaha! Craptastic!

But perhaps. I waaant to please you! [cries] If there's ever a lull in my fandom love, or I'm watching the show and see something hit me. I think it'll all depend on how next season goes. Lately the show has been pissing me off about how it deals with Xander and Spike's interaction.

Re:

Heh. See, for me, my Spike/Xander love ended around the time everyone else's began, during S4, right after Hush. Because a) I HATE the way Spike became post-chippage, and b) the fandom got overrun by stupid teenies.

From: [identity profile] silviakundera.livejournal.com

With me, it was that while Angel was on the show I was so Angel/Xander directed that I never even considered Xander/Spike. It took him leaving to get me to consider X/S.

(and I liiiiike Spike and think he's a huge wuss and sort of a shitty vampire, and find it endearing. he's like Draco! They're so crappy at being bad! awwwwwwwww)

From: [identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com

Re:

Oooooh, see, you know what would be the ultimate in masturbatory writing for me? A story wherein Spike and Draco do nothing but exchange witty sarcastic comments. Mmmmmmmm.

And, er. Will keep opinion on Angel to self. Yes.

And yes! Spike is The Big Bad, but he's also a big pussycat when it comes to Dru and all. :)

Neil Gaaaiiiiman. Good Omens slash. Because, yes.

But dude, I -like- the Stephen King/HP call. I'm thinking I'd prefer style of The Body ... unless it's about the older generation, then DT might actually work better ... anyway, mrrr.

Re:

See, I thought of Neil Gaiman (and Terry Pratchett) but I couldn't think of something I'd like them to write. A Draco-centric story, perhaps?

I did, however, think of asking JKR to write H/D. Heeee.

See, I think the TB/DT decision depends more on what the story is about than about whom it's about. A story set in three or four years, in the middle of the second War, would go really well with DT style. Or a post-(either)War story, too. But you can write a young!Marauders story very much in the style of TB just as easy as you can write a Harry&Co!story in that style.

Mmmm, post-War!Harry/Draco in the style of the DT series ...

From: [identity profile] sivan.livejournal.com

Neil Gaiman AND Terry Pratchett writing Draco would no doubt be hilarious, but I'm not quite sure I'd want to see it ... actually, for some reason I can see Terry Pratchett write HP fic, but not Neil Gaiman. Or at least I can't think of any HP fic I'd want Neil to write. *scratches head* Which is strange, seeing as how he's my favourite author, but I can't seem to find a situation or character I'd associate with his style ... (Maybe some vaguely ironic, vaguely dark Snape fic. Hmmm. Yeah, I'd like that.)

See, I think the TB/DT decision depends more on what the story is about than about whom it's about.

Good point. I always kind of think of the older-gen as their grown-up selves (around the time Harry was born, the earliest) and of H/D/etc. as still in school, but what you said makes a lot more sense. TB would work wonderfully for MWPP, I think.

Mmmm, post-War!Harry/Draco in the style of the DT series ...

*wibbles* Oh my. How much do you think we'd have to pay him? ;P (Or do we know a fanfic writer who could pull it off?)

Re:

"Harry Potter. The enemy, of course, but an enemy for ten years now, and thus sort of a friend." Horribly paraphrasing, but you know what I mean. Mmrrrrrr. And oh, they'd do Draco's sarcasm so much justice. (Sarcasm = hot. It is.)

TB would work wonderfully for MWPP, I think.

If I had Marauders muses, I'd write it.

How much do you think we'd have to pay him?

D'you think offering him our young, nubile bodies would help?

From: [identity profile] sivan.livejournal.com

Ahaha. *falls over* Okay, okay, I agree. Now how do we get THEM to write it? ("Many people, meeting Draco for the first time, formed three impressions: that he was English, that he was intelligent, and that he was gayer than a tree full of monkeys on nitrous oxide.")

If I had Marauders muses, I'd write it.

*breeds muses and shoves them your way*

D'you think offering him our young, nubile bodies would help?

Hm. Certainly worth a try, innit?

Ahahahaha! PERFECT!

*breeds muses and shoves them your way*

Muses: *look around Melle's head, shrug, move out*

Hrm.

Certainly worth a try, innit?

Absolutely! We ought to send him a letter.
