It all started in Potions, as such things do. Snape seemed to take a sadistic pleasure in pairing up Gryffindors and Slytherin for particularly difficult assignments. At least this time, Oliver thought, he'd been paired with Higgs, and not with Flint like last time. That had been a disaster. At least Higgs was smart. Almost as smart as Percy, Oliver had to admit.

They were busy preparing the ingredients when Oliver suddenly noticed Higgs was humming a song. That in itself was surprising, but then he recognised the tune. When I Kissed The Teacher. He'd never thought anyone else at Hogwarts would be an ABBA fan, least of all a Slytherin. Almost subconsciously, he started humming along. Higgs looked up from cutting his Devil's Root, obviously surprised. Oliver grinned at him. Higgs grinned back.

They started doing Potions homework together after that. Terence was a lot more patient with him than Percy, Oliver thought. And Percy didn't like ABBA.

Terence gave him a copy of ABBA Gold after Christmas, and they ended up getting drunk and singing along to the songs in some abandoned room in the dungeons. After a particularly heartfelt rendition of The Way Old Friends Do, Oliver leaned over to Terence, whispered "Thanks for the CD," and kissed him.

There was really nothing better in the world, Oliver decided, than making love to Terence Higgs with ABBA playing in the background.

Luckily I think she's failing most of her classes, so she might not be able to, you know, actually kill them.

Plus, I mean, who's going to let her kill Viktor Krum? And you know, I mean, I'm sure MArcus and Oliver would take time out from being schmoopy to protect them. Maybe.

They'd definitely protect Viktor. Terence? Maybe not so much... nor with the amount of enthusiasm. ;)
