Drabble. µ/β UST, β/α, James Watson/Francis Crick, if you squint, maybe.

"Have you ever thought that symbols look a bit like people?"

Francis gave him an odd look.

"No, really," he defended himself. "Look, µ is a bit like a little man, maybe with a limp, and he's madly in love with β, see?"

Francis shook his head. "β is so obviously meant to be with α."

"And that is why µ is such a sad little thing. It's suffering from unrequited love."

A pause, then: "James?"

"Yeah?"

"I think we both need some fresh air."

He grinned. "Good idea. Let's go for a walk," and went to get his coat.

I just want to not that the scientific symbols thing is all Fleur's fault, but I'm woman enough to admit that, yes, I've wanted to slash Watson and Crick since I was sixteen. Go read this and tell me I'm a freak. I dare you.<p
