*implodes*
Although I would appreciate it if my brain could stop humming Lonely Man at me, because I'm trying to ignore that sense of dread, thank you very much!
Note: The Scabs are a Belgian rock band of old (er, oldish, as in late 1980's), whom I adore. I rediscovered this song on one of my tapes, and um. The RP!Marcus in my head claimed it, for some reason. I don't know either. Couldn't find the lyrics online, so I typed it up, and played the pronoun game while I was at it.
Try your luck and roll the dice
Count your blessings and pay the price
There's a guy you idolise
I tell you, love's a strange device
Well he might say that you were just friends
And it turns out he had other plans
He may want you to believe
He wears his heart on his sleeve
And brother please watch your back
You're riding love's dirty track
What if he says you were just friends?
What if you're wrong
And find out there's no one to hold with these hands?
That you're not the prince in the end?
There's no telling when this little fairy tale will end
What if you die a lonely man?
What if he says you were just friends?
What if you're wrong
And find out there's no one to hold with these hands?
That you're not the prince in the end?
There's no telling when this little fairy tale will end
What if I die a lonely man?
I just stapled my sweater to a a stack of paper. Niiice!
