Um. I was trying to write textslash for Meryl, but the boys had other plans. My first actual drabble.
... Yeah, I don't know, either.
When Harry Potter finally defeats the Dark Lord, Oliver is on the edge of the battlefield, facing Marcus. "It's over."
Marcus shakes his head. "Not yet."
"Marcus …"
"No. I can ward off any Stunning Spell you throw at me until you're forced to use the Killing Curse, Oliver. Just. Please. I can't go to Azbakan."
"So you'd rather make me kill you?"
Silence.
"I … Just go, Marcus. They won't care. It's people like Malfoy they're after. You're a foot soldier, you won't be missed."
"Neither will you."
"And?"
"And I'm not leaving alone."
"Marcus …"
Silence.
"It's too late now, Marcus."
... Yeah, I don't know, either.
