There are Sex Pistols on my desktop! Mmmmm. Urge to slash ... rising ... God, it's been a year and a half since I wrote Playtime! And you know, with the Queen's Golden Jubilee coming up, it's also gonna be the 25th anniversary of punk, so there'll be lots of opportunities to tape footage of them. I'm thinking snippets may be the way to go. I don't need another full-fledged bunny. Maybe I'll try to abuse Georgina's Improv toy a little.

Still nothing new on the FPS front. Le sigh.

And in completely seperate news, I really like TechTales, but it's rather hard for me to take these "superior computer beings" seriously when they can't seem to grasp a simple concept like punctuations. Or grammar. Or spelling. Or comprehensive sentences!

I've done about half an hour of actual work today. Woo. Somebody make an entry before I go insan

Heh. I get enough of that in this job, and it's not even that much. :) I'm taking over "everyday IT support" for our (8-person strong) office somewhere over the summer. Thankfully, most of these people are fairly knowledgable, so most of this stuff is "Help, I can't get to the shared drive/my "drive" on the server/anything that requires a connection to the server" or something with software settings or something.

It's mostly the customers having problems with the website that get on my nerves. Dammit, when i say "Please check with your IT department to make sure your computer's IP address is registered under your institution's domain," DO THAT before sending me THE SAME BLOODY EMAIL again. Three times.

And then there's the startling number of academics who need their secretaries to print out their email for them and then reply to it. WTF?

Oh, the humanity!
