Especially about fandom. because I'm actually bothered by the fact that I can't reconsile my love of AUs with my personal stance in the nurture vs nature debate. Good AUs are very much a ... proof? celebration? something of the "nature" argument. I'm a strong believer in the nurture argument. And yet, I love AUs. A lot. "A lot."

Interesting...expand on this, because I think that I see a good AU as roundabout support of the nurture side.
