Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers on my friends list, and to all the mothers who mdae the rest of you into the great people you are, and of course to my own mother, who is in Greece at the moment, thus giving me another two weeks to come up with a present.

This is getting weird. I knew they celebrated Mother's Day in May in America, but I didn't know that was true in Belgium and Australia too. Here, it's in March (Mothering Sunday, to coincide with the conception of Christ). Are we the only ones to do it then?

Re:

The really weird thing is, we have two Mother's Days. One in May, the international one, and one in August, on Saint Mary whatsit. Um. The day she rose to heaven. My brain is dead. I think it's mainly that the May one is the internatoinal one.

Dude, my mother is also in Greece, coming back in about two weeks, and I was honestly about to make that exact same post. Weeirdd. Maybe our moms are hanging out, heh.

That would be ... incredibly freaky, yo. I'm warning you, if my mum comes back and talks about this nice American woman she met, i'm going to go into hysterics.

Re:

Canadian, if you please, but yes, that would just be *odd*. But fun.

Heh, don't worry, I just have that built in nationality-correcting gene that forces me to do it. heh.

Considering all the times I've had to tell people that no, Belgium is not the capital of Canada, I know what you mean. =D
