Kay, so. I have a bunch of stuff to gte rid of. This includes a) various magazine clippings end articles on celebrities I remembered someone on my friends list mentioning at some point, and b) books. About thirty-five of them, I suspect. And about half of them are in English. I'll be selling most of them to the used book store, but I'll make a list of the English ones, and if you'd like any of them, just yell, and it's yours. The magazine stuff will, of course, be used in my famous Envelopes O' Fun. )

Books:

  • Clive Barker - Imajica (softcover, first book, ie half of the hardcover version) (Taken by [livejournal.com profile] arami)
  • Poppy Z Brite - The Crow: The Lazarus Heart (Taken by [livejournal.com profile] darksong)
  • Forrest Carter - The Outlaw Josie Wales
  • Agatha Christie - Five Little Pigs
  • Gerald Cole - Sid and Nancy (Taken by [livejournal.com profile] pelicanzed)
  • Elaine Cunningham - The Magehound (Taken by [livejournal.com profile] synicism)
  • Colin Dexter - The Daughters of Cain
  • Colin Dexter - Death Is Now My Neighbour
  • Colin Dexter - The Remorseful Day
  • Colin Dexter - Service of All the Dead
  • Robin Hobb - Ship Of Magic
  • Charles Kaiser - The Gay Metropolis (hardcover) (Taken by [livejournal.com profile] arami)
  • Katharine Kerr - A Time Of Exile
  • Katharine Kerr - A Time of Omens
  • Stephen King - Dolan's Cadillac
  • Stephen King - The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon (hardcover) (Taken by [livejournal.com profile] mydarkstar)
  • Dave Pelzer - A Child Called "It" (Taken by [livejournal.com profile] sillicongirl)
  • Terry Prachett - The Colour of Magic (Taken by [livejournal.com profile] mydarkstar)
  • Laura C. Stevenson - The Island and the Ring

And then there's a Spanish vocabulary book, and Luis SepĂșldeva - Desencuentros, in case any of you would like those.

If you want to send it, and no one else has taken it, I'd like the Poppy Z Brite book.

Consider it yours! You'll have to send me your addy, though, since I don't think I have it.

What kind of Spanish vocabulary book? Does it have words about sex?

Re:

Hee! I don't think so. It's the one I got when I did that aborted attempt at translator school, so it's really basic stuff.

Bah! I need a guide to Spanish words for sex--vocabulary words with usage notes. It's not the kind of thing that's easily found.

Probably not, but I'd like to be able to think about, especially since I don't seem inclined to kick the Spanish actors out of my head. I'm even thinking about inviting in the Mexican actors as well. I'd also like to be able to discuss Spanish movies in Spanish in polite company, which is hard to do without knowing words about sex.

I would love, The Child Called It. I would glady pay for S&H and whatever you wanted. Wouldn't want you to be out any you didn't have too. My email is critterkitten@netscape.net

Re:

That's okay, it's just a small paperback, so s&h won't be that much. Just send me your addy at my LJ email?

From: [identity profile] pelicanzed.livejournal.com

Ooh! Sid And Nancy! If no one else wants it. (Do you have my address?)

Re:

I prolly do, but I'll let you know if I don't. Beware, though, that the book is very painfully bad . I'd keep it just for the camp value, but I need the space in my bookcase.

Re:

In true Sex Pistolian fashion, I don't care. (Is it based on the film?)

From: [identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com

Re:

Either that or vice versa, since it' has a still from the film on the cover.

Oooh. Can I yelp for 'Winter Frost'?

Am happy to pay P & P. shouldn't be too high, seen I live in the UK and thus fairly close to you. :g:

Can I have The Outlaw Josey Wales, please?

Let me know if you need my addy again if you don't still have it from Xmas.

Re:

Thank you :). Am feeling rather nostalgic for Westerns. The list I was referring to as being deleted is Lust In The Dust, and it's been an oddly sad time for me. I hadn't posted much there recently, but I always thought it would be there.

At least it was unlike a certain other list's deletion. We were warned in plenty of time. But still. It's sad.
