So, family to do. Was kinda blah, especially because there is NEVER any food for us vegetarians, grrr. Okay, fine, it's just me and my brother (the only cousin who's also veggie didn't come), but people, would it kill you to make us some eggs or something? Feh.

Also, my grandfather will be selling the "country house" -- and I just realsied this needs an explanation. See, in 1971, my grandparents bought this big building, which used to be a factory. It's not a modern factory building; it looks like one of these old country houses out of Agatha Christie, except there is a huge room downstairs, which is currently the dining/sitting room. First floor (second floor for you Americans) has a big, big room, my grandparents' bedroom, and a sauna. Second floor (third for the USAians) has nine bedrooms (one for each of the kids), plus a bathroom. Third and fourth floor are attic space. We've been going there once or twice a year since I wsa born, for the big family feasts, but now my grandfather has decided that €5,000/year is too much money to spend on something we use that rarey, and he's going to sell it, and if anyone wants any of the things that are in there, they can take what they want.

There's this one bed in one of thebedrooms, a big classic one, not quite a double, but bigger than a single, which would look great in my bedroom. I've had a crush on that bed since forever. It's my dream bed. And now that I, technically, can have it, I can't, because we won't be able to get it upstairs into my appartment! *wails*

Is there any way you can snag the bed and store it somewhere, until you can either figure out how to fit it into your place, or you move somewhere else? Cause giving up a piece of dream furniture is horrid if there are any alternatives.

Re:

See, the bed actually belongs to my great-uncle, which is the other reason I can't have it. I will, however, make sure it doesn't get trashed or something. Hm, maybe I can convince Uncle Tony to keep it stored for me. :)

Maybe you can get a forklift that specializes in lifting beds to apartment windows, and widen the window if necessary? You to owners: "yeah it was weird this little meteorite punched a whole through the wall and got stopped by this pillow so we decided to widen things and put in new energy efficient windows and this bed was just walking along on the sidewalk below and needed a home and like and..."

Re:

*snicker* Unfortunately, even if I could get it into my apt., it'd still belong to my great-uncle, so. :(

I will, however, make damn sure it doesn't get trashed or anything. If no one else will have it, I'll put it in storeage somewhere.
