I think I wrote some shotr gen snippets in BMfM fandom, but everything else was slash.

Yep. I started writing at age ten, and I still write non-fanfic.

You, Your Fandoms, Your Characters, and Your Stories:
9) In which slash fandoms do you write or have you previously written, and for which pairings?
Oh, dear lord. Do you have an hour? Um, lemme see ...

... Don't think I really have any favourites.

11) Who is your favourite slash pairing to write?
See above.

I have no favourites!

Playtime, Bad.

16) Which slash story of your own do you wish you could re-write, or what slash stories have you posted and are currently re-writing, and why?
In the Name of the Father, because I like the idea, but the execution sucks. Mary Sues, awkward wentences, ... Ugh.

The Hows and Whys of Writing:
17) What started you writing fanfic?
I was reading it, and I was already writing non-fanfic, and I'd always made up stories about media characters before, so it seemed like the logical step.

18)When are you hit by your best ideas?
Chatting with people, usually.

19)When do you do your best writing?
Late evening and night.

20) What do you watch/read/listen to when you write, if anything?
Music.

21) Do you write on paper, or just type, and why?
I write longhand, because I always have my notebook with me, but don't always have access to a computer.

22) Do you need an outline for your stories, or do you 'go with the flow'?
Longer stories I need to outline the general plot, and the next one or two chapters in detail.

23) Do you ever notice influences from other things (classes, family, friends, etc.) creeping into your writing? If so, what?
Meh. Not really.

24) Do you write in a linear fashion (start at the beginning and write till the end) or do you jump around from scene to scene, as inspiration strikes?
Linear. Always.

25) Do you do your editing on-screen, or on paper?
On paper. I overlook mistakes on screen.

26) Do you have a beta reader?
I have several ones. I usually just ask whomever's around when I'm finished with my own proofread.

26a) Explain why or why not.
Because I need one?

26b) Do you beta for other slash writers?
Only v. exceptionally.

Oh, hell yes!

28a) If so, how did you work through it?
Waiting, bashing my head against the nearest solid object, take up smoking.

29) Why do you write?
Because it's in mpy head, and it has to get out.

Possibly the Palpatine/Valorum. Of course I wrote it! I like being weird!

Community, Interactivity, and Feedback:
31) Have you ever been to a slash or slash-friendly con?
No! *sob*

31b) If no, why not?
Dude, I live in Belgium. Not much cons nearish me, yo. Also, I'm not that much into RPS anymore, and I'm not sure how many cons would accept RPS.

Originalslash, tolkien_slash, TimberNick, zendom, FCA-L and a bunch of other list for LotR and lotrips.

Yep.

34a) If yes, what is the title/url? See above.

35) Do you submit your stories to archives, or allow them to be archived from newsgroups or mailing lists?
Rarely. RS-X, metslash, RareSlash and musicianslash are the only ones I submit to.

36) Why do you post/submit your stories to zines/share them on newsgroups or mailing lists/share them with friends, or otherwise make them publicly available?
Because I like sharing my stories, and the feedback, especially since I don't ever expect any, is nice.

42) Do you answer your feedback?
Always.

43) Do you feel that you send enough feedback overall?
No, I guess.

29) Why do you write?
Because it's in mpy head, and it has to get out.

Become a writer- it's the socially accepted form of schizophrenia!

:P :)

(Fucking Lance just kept me Fucking awake for fucking four hours when I've only had fucking two hours of sleep *again*, making a total of 4 in the last 48 hours, because he just *had* to have his way with Chris when he found him tied up. Fucking Lance.)

(ahem.)

Is this Mona's Slash Survey, or just a lot like it?

I remember helping to write that survey in monaslash chat. The idea for question 23 was mine.
