No Longer A Pedophile Countdown: 173 days

Finally a moment's peace! Stupid finances. My brain is numberified! *runs around in distress*

My boss thinks I'm scary. Why? Because I have all the accountency codes memorised, as well as the work bank account and the one from the travel agent we use really frequently. I am a nerd. Thank you.

I need a cigarette. *crave*

Thank god the femgeeks stuff is sorted out. Not sure if I want to email them to say the adult stuff is gone. On the one hand, I want to make it clear I was under the impression that adult content was allowed (kat aroused my suspicion that they may have amended their TOS since I signed up. I'm quite sure it didn't say what it says now. Hrmpf. Anyway.

Need to talk to dad about IS, which will be a pain. For femgeeks, I need a US person, so I can just pay them back by transferring the paypal donations into their account, but for IS it's easier to have my dad do it and pay him back cash. :)

Um, Muh? Apparently, the European Commission is funding a radio program that airs in Afghanistan. It's called ... wait for it ... "Good Morning Afganistan!" Someone at the Commission is a Robin Williams fan.

You know, half the fun in writing AUs is plotting them out. Mmm, Racer!Sync. **licks mechanic!Nick** Ahem, right. Sorry bout that, my Nicklust soareth.

Help?

You know, this doesn't make sense. I mean, the term "no adult stuff because of excessive bandwidth" still comes from the days when hosting wasn't subject to bandwidth limitations yet. When you could have a porn site that attracted 100 GB / months and still pay your monthly fee and nothing else. But come ON! You sign up for 6 GB and you use 6 GB! Whether people use it for looking at your wedding pictures or reading smut! Goddamnit! This doesn't really make sense. It's just prudery on their side, IMO. >_

Re:

Yeah, exactly. The email I got said the bloke "subjected [him]self further to the site". Oooh, poor man had to read smut.

Ahem. Don't mind me. I just replied to him and had to bite my tongue not to be sarcastic. <g>

Not to be all conspiracy theorist here, but I do wonder if it has more to do with the fact there's stories about real people, and they felt uncomfortable with that.

Really, I see a world of difference between what you're doing with your site and what a porn site does. I think most sane people would too.

Re:

I dunno. I don't think it's the RPS thing per se, seen as how most mundanes don't differentiate between RPS and FPS, but I do feel this niggling that they're just f*cking prudes who can't stand smut, let alone gay smut.

Meh.
