I am an idiot. Was making coffee, had to move the mache a bit forward, and grabbed onto the hotplate. Hence, am currently in pain from the tips of my middle and ring finger. Ans it's my left hand, too, which is the one I use for most things. (I'm really weird when it comes to dexteriety. I write right-handed, but do a lot of things (use the mouse, for example) with my left hand. There is no discernable pattern to this, either. I'm just a freak.)
