And the chat-in was a damn big success. Partially, I think, because of a not-so-nice thing, but still.

There were people. There was talking. It was fun. Talked (really talked) to [livejournal.com profile] rsadelle for the first time in what? A year? Was nice. I feel kinda weird. Grown-up, I guess. I've stopped carrying stupid grudges. I've learned to realise and admit when I'm wrong. 's A nice feeling. :)

I think I'll do this again some time. And I'll definitely statr going to IRC more often. Like, as much as I can. I missed the talking o multiple people in one window.

And let's not forget that Te herself once wrote a piece of absolutely brilliant RPS.

It's called "Backstage." Hugh Dillon/Callum Keith Rennie. If you're on RS-X, it's message 32.

And how weird is it that she posted that exactly two years ago today?

Re:

Huh. Would you believe I'd completely forgotten about that?

However, it does make her even more of a hypocrite. Dammit.

Hmm. I don't know. If I remember what she said, she didn't deny she actually wrote it. She just didn't think it should be public.

Re:

Hrm. Went looking for her posts back then -- and god, I'd completely missed her referring to the FMO as "that stupid RPS defense page" while not really doing anything to address most of the points made on it, except for the legal one, and that one in a really shoddy way.

Anyway, yeah, she did admit to having written it, and suddenly it strikes me as odd that apparently, lists and all are fine as long as we don't have an actual archive on a site. Especially sine RS-X was, at the time, a really open list, especially in RPS circles. No age statements, no invites, just sign up and you're there.

I'm rambling. (And slightly miffed at her showing the FMO aside as "that stupid page", because I may not have updated it in a while and yes, some of the points are not made that clear, but I did put quite some work into it when I wrote it, and she's doing exactly what drove me away from the whole debate: ranting on and on in a rather angry and almost vicious way, using false arguments that I really don't even feel like actually tearing apart because it's clearly no use.) (And yeah, it could be said that it's her blog and she's got the right to be as vicious as she wants, and she does, but she was almost directly addressing the RPSers, and in the end, this sort of behavirous does not make me want to partake in a dialogue with someone.)

(Will shut up now.)

Re:

Not quite. I'm almost sure it was the first multi-fandom RPS list, but various boyband slash list had been around since earlier, I seem to recall.
