Briefly thought of writing The Shintaid (book one, at least) for this. Concluded am never writing 1,700 words a day, every day, for a whole month. This would put all my fanfic on hold for a month. Ditto for anything Strange Love. And I don't think The Shintaid is talking to me enough to write that much right now.

(Edit: Thought about it some more. Made a few entries with wibbling in it. Decided against. Deleted entries.)

Re:

The problem is that writing against a deadline like that (finishing a 50,000 word novel in 30 days) is just not my thing. I'll just end up writing complete crap, and I know they say they don't care about quality, but I do. I don't want to waste away an entire month on this and end up with something I'd either have to rewrite so exstensively that it'd essentially be another book entirely, or put away and not ever look at again.

YMMV, of course, but I know from experience this is what would happen for me. Also, last time I wrote against a deadline as close as this I ended up blocked for nearly two years. Not going there again, thanks. I've just managed to get back into my "zone" -- three stories in a month and a half! -- and I don't want to either lose it or waste it.

So, um. Yeah. If you wanna try, you should, really. And I'll give you the details on this idea I had, if you wanna see if you can write it. I don't know if I ever will, because I'm afraid I'll make the characters too much like Sean and Nick.

I've never tried it. I might. I probably shouldn't.

Gah, I'll end up throwing a coin, I tell you. >< But in a way, it simply sounds like a lot of fun. I mean, I probably won't make the deadline, but ... it'd still be practice.

And if I re-read it at the end and find that I do like some of it, I'll re-write. If I don't, I won't.

Heh, okay, that sounds way too easy like that.

Do you really think that it's possible for something like this to drain your creative energy so thoroughly? Because that does scare me a bit.

(Hm, like I said in the other comment, I've had an idea myself, though I'm not yet sure what'll come of it. I'd still like to hear yours if you feel like telling ... curious, curious, especially about where the characters' similarities to Sean and Nick lie. ^__^)
