That's a cut. It's circular because I cut diagonally into it. The slice of skin was hanging on by a bit. I decided to not cut it off and have new skin grow on it,but have the old skin re-attach. Should take less healing.

Must go find food now, then take nap.

That's *exactly* what I did to the tip of my left index finger about a year ago.
