Going to strangle the next person who insists that legalising Cannabis is gonna send kids the message that the gov't approves of it.
Just. Arg! Alcohol is legal, too. Does that mean the gov't is sending the message that alcohol is good? Are they encouraging alcohol use in kids? No! And yeah, maybe that is sort of what it sounds like for Cannabis, but that wouldn't be the case if it hadn't been illegal in the first fucking place.

Exactly!!!
Legalizing marijuana doesn't mean the government approves of it or endorses it, it means they disapprove of the illegal underground marijuana "industry" and all the gang fights and deaths and hot loads and unneccessary jail sentences it causes! That way the government can regulate marijuana and make the streets and the lifestyle and the drug safer! Weeee!
