Managed to put in the RAM (go me!) but while it's considerably faster, winamp still makes everything else slow down.

Meh.

When winamp is running, it should only use about 3MB RAM. If you upgraded then it really REALLY shouldn't slow everything else down. So, something has to be wrong. Also, if you have things running down in the task bar, as I'm sure you know but I'm telling you anyway, they use RAM. So if you don't have LJ client open but it's sitting there in the bottom, it's using RAM. Same with AIM and MSM and whatever else you've got on there. Just tryin to help. :)

I think it's actually the processor that's the problem. I have a 133 Mhz one, which isn't really that fast. :/
