It'll pass. I hope. Until it does, I'll just talk to the wall the way I have been. It might not talk back, though. I'm not that insane yet.

Your beliefs are yours, and your friend's are his or hers. You're perfectly entitled to feel how you want to feel about... everything. If time offline is going to make you feel better, than I encourage you to go ahead and take some time off. But otherwise, you shouldn't.
